It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not provided the chance.

Finally, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy being given an opportunity to create her newest gem.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups conducted earlier and has seen it all through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup came three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 efforts across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India momentarily interrupted the winning streak.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy stated recently.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Some will argue the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this innings followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it's been a frustrating experience because I feel like my form was missing whatsoever," commented Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from there the batsman was in motion.

"An opportunity to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was removed Australia needed 66 more at run per delivery - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

During that phase they exited the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

But while she afterwards confessed those injuries have postponed consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
